Ready to pay for DONATION?
There is no charge for downloading or evaluating DONATION. However, to continue using the program after the 60-day evaluation period, the following prices apply in the first year:
- $60 (plus tax) for users with under 200 donors
- $90 (plus tax) for users with under 500 donors
- $110 (plus tax) for users with 500 or more donors
- $110 (plus tax) for the Network Version, with one simultaneous user allowed
- $220 (plus tax) for the Network Version, with two simultaneous users allowed
- $330 (plus tax) for the Network Version, with three simultaneous users allowed
- free if your organization is very small and
satisfies some strict criteria
Paying these prices grants you a permanent Full License to use the software for your organization, and technical support and upgrades for the first year (12 months from your payment date).
Once you have paid your Full License fee and received an email
receipt for it, you can request a license key which converts your
60-day evaluation version of DONATION to the full unrestricted
version. Any data you have entered up to that point will be
unaffected by this process.

If within 30 days after your initial Full License payment you
decide that you are not completely satisfied
and you have decided to stop using DONATION,
we will give you a full refund.

Annual Renewals
To continue receiving support and upgrades after the first year an annual renewal payment is required. The following prices are based on the number of donors you have at the time of renewal:
- $30 (plus tax) for users with under 200 donors
- $45 (plus tax) for users with under 500 donors
- $55 (plus tax) for users with 500 or more donors
- $55 (plus tax) for the Network Version, with one simultaneous user allowed
- $110 (plus tax) for the Network Version, with two simultaneous users allowed
- $165 (plus tax) for the Network Version, with three simultaneous users allowed
- free under the same conditions listed above for free initial licenses
Once you have paid your Annual Renewal fee and received an
email receipt for it, you can request an
updated license key, which informs the program that it can accept
upgrades for another 12 months.

You can save on your annual renewal fees by earning

Note: You have to pay this
renewal fee within 18 months of your previous payment date. If you
need to renew your eligibility for support and upgrades after that
time, you need to pay another Full License fee.
Additional Organizations: Your Full License authorizes you to use DONATION for one organization. The program is able to handle multiple organizations with the same copy of DONATION, on one computer. There is an additional price of $20 per year for each additional organization you wish to handle. That entitles you to a license key and support for the additional organization. (Since you are using it on the same copy of DONATION, you don't need upgrades separately for it!)

Additional Users: With the normal (Local
Database) version of DONATION, you may install the program on
multiple computers for one price, as long as you have only the
one database, which you copy back and forth between computers.
(Only one user can change the data at a time, however, because
there is no way to merge changes.)

With the
Network version, you can install it
on any number of computers on your network, and the pricing
depends on the number of users you want to be able to use the
program simultaneously.
We do expect to hear from you with payment information, even if it is to request a free license based on the criteria listed above. We may contact you by email about one month after your registration if we have not heard from you, and we will also contact you annually to invite you to renew your support and upgrades subscription.
Upgrading your number of allowable donors
Although you get the same program whichever price you pay, the
program will warn you if you have more donors (only counting the
ones with donations) than you are licensed for. To upgrade your
allowable number of donors, just calculate the difference between
what you have already paid and the correct Full License price
for the required number of donors, and pay that amount
(plus tax).
After your payment has been received, you can request
a new license key for the required number of donors, using the
Help -> Request or Install License Key menu option.

Free Licenses
You may have a free license to use DONATION if your organization
satisfies ALL FOUR of the following criteria:
- Your organization's annual total income from donations and other sources of funding is under $5,000;
AND
- You have fewer than 50 donors;
AND
- No paid staff will be regularly using DONATION;
AND
- You agree that if any of these conditions changes, you will
immediately pay the appropriate Full License fee for your use of
DONATION.
Please do not ask for exceptions to these
criteria.
If you do satisfy ALL FOUR of these criteria, please
be sure that you have
registered
to use the program, and then you may
email
Cooperstock Software, stating that you satisfy them, and
request a free license to use DONATION.
Free Licenses must be renewed annually, if the four criteria
still apply. If they no longer apply, you need to pay the Full
License fee as agreed in the fourth criteria.
